One lawyer. Two entities. A hard boundary.
Regingada was built by a lawyer admitted to the German bar. Software and legal advice are deliberately kept in two separate entities: Regingada UG (haftungsbeschränkt) develops the software and acts as appointed EU representative, while the law firm Theo Funk provides legal advice under a separate mandate. German professional law requires that separation, and it also makes responsibility legible — who owes what, to whom, under which contract. This page sets out the person, the two entities and the working method behind the corpus.

Two entities, one boundary
The same person stands behind both sides. What differs is the contract you enter into, who owes the service, and which body of law governs it.
Software company
Regingada UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
- Regingada Compliance Suite — the software product
- Regingada Radar and the Corpus API
- Appointed EU representation: Art. 27 GDPR, Art. 13 DSA, Art. 22/54 AI Act, Art. 26 NIS2
- Licences, fees and contracts for software and representation
- Amtsgericht Bamberg · HRB 12595 · managing director Theo Funk
Law firm
Law firm Theo Funk
- Legal assessment of the individual case
- Legal strategy
- Representation in proceedings
- Professional secrecy under Sec. 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB)
- Member of the Bamberg bar (Rechtsanwaltskammer Bamberg)
The separation exists because German professional law keeps legal services apart from commercial software business, and because it makes responsibility unambiguous: software and representation are owed by the UG, legal advice only by the law firm under its own mandate — see theofunklaw.com.
How the corpus is built
The corpus is the data layer behind the suite: the norm structure, its summaries and the links between regimes. Four rules govern how it is maintained.
- Curated, with source anchors Every node carries a CELEX/ELI anchor to the official EU source, so each entry can be traced back to the published text.
- Review, not autopilot Changes to the corpus pass through a review step before publication. Nothing is written into the corpus automatically.
- AI output is labelled DRAFT Machine-generated text is marked as a draft. It does not replace review by a lawyer and is not legal advice.
- Data flows are disclosed Which data leaves the browser, where it is processed and for how long it is stored is documented in the Trust Center.

The suite is structured self-assessment and decision support — orientation, not legal advice. Individual-case advice is provided exclusively by the law firm Theo Funk under a separate mandate.
